Planning a wedding should be joyful, exciting, and full of love, not full of hesitation or second-guessing about whether your photographer is really on your side.

I want to be very clear: if you're part of the LGBTQ+ community, you are wholeheartedly welcome here. 🤍 I'm Maddy, a documentary-style wedding photographer based in the North East, and I'm here to celebrate your love story, just as it is. No judgement, no assumptions, no performative allyship – just real, honest support, and beautiful photographs of a day that’s unapologetically yours.

You’re not a “box to tick”

I know that for many queer couples, finding the right wedding suppliers can be nerve-wracking. You might worry about being treated like a novelty or feel unsure whether someone’s support is genuine, or just for show. That’s not what I’m about. I’m not here to use your wedding as a portfolio piece or a token gesture. I’m here to be a friendly face, a calming presence, and someone who gets to know you as a couple, listens to what matters most to you, and captures your wedding in a way that feels natural, relaxed and joyful - as it should be!

A safe, inclusive space

Your love deserves to be celebrated without fear, awkwardness, or judgement. Whether you’re planning a big party or something low-key and intimate, I promise to show up as my true self - warm, open, and easy to get along with - and make space for you to do the same. My role on your wedding day goes beyond snapping pictures - I’m there to make you feel comfortable, seen, and supported, all while documenting your story in a way that’s relaxed, vibrant, and real.

Representation matters – but so does respect

Visibility is powerful, and I believe in celebrating diverse love stories. But more importantly, I believe in doing so with respect and authenticity. If I share images from your wedding, it’ll never be as a token gesture - it’ll be because I’m proud of the joy, connection, and story we created together, with your full consent.

Let’s do this, your way

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who’ll celebrate you for exactly who you are, you’ve found her. Whether you’re local to County Durham or planning a wedding elsewhere in the North East or beyond, I’d love to hear about your plans and chat about how we can make memories together.

You deserve suppliers who see you, who support you, and who will cheer you on every step of the way. I’d be honoured to be part of your day.
