Hello, lovely couples!


Planning your wedding can be such an exciting time, and it’s completely normal to have lots of questions, especially when it comes to choosing your wedding photographer. Your wedding photos are the memories you’ll treasure forever, so it’s important you feel confident and relaxed about who’s capturing your day.


To make things easier, I’ve put together this guide of wedding photography FAQs - answers to the questions I’m most often asked by couples. Whether you’re mid-planning or just having a scroll, here’s everything you need to know.

What’s your photography style?

I specialise in a natural, relaxed, and vibrant documentary wedding photography style. No stiff poses or forced smiles here - just genuine moments, real emotions, and all the little details that make your wedding day truly yours. Whether you’re planning a rustic barn wedding in County Durham or a modern city celebration in Newcastle, my goal is to tell your unique story beautifully.


Are you available on our wedding date?

The best thing to do is get in touch as soon as you can - popular dates tend to book up quickly! Just send me a message with your date, and I’ll let you know straight away if I’m free.


What kind of packages do you offer?

I offer a range of flexible packages to suit different celebrations - from intimate small weddings to full-day coverage. If you have something specific in mind, I’m always happy to chat and tailor a package to suit your needs.


How many hours will you be with us?

That’s completely up to you! My packages range from a few hours to full-day coverage, including bridal prep, ceremony, family portraits, and evening celebrations. Need extra time? No problem - we can add that on easily.


Do you bring a second shooter?

It’s just me capturing your day - I believe one photographer is all you need to tell your wedding story naturally and intimately. This way, I can focus fully on you and the moments that matter most.


What if the lighting is tricky?

I’m fully prepared for all lighting situations - whether you’re getting married outdoors in bright daylight or celebrating in a dimly lit venue. I use professional equipment to make sure every photo looks stunning.


When will we get to see our photos?

You’ll get a sneak peek within a week because I know you’ll be eager to see them! Your full wedding gallery will be ready in about 6 to 8 weeks during my busiest seasons, carefully edited and ready for you to enjoy.

How many photos will we get?

Depending on how long I’m there and your package, you can expect around 400 to 700 fully edited images - all handpicked and individually edited to tell your wedding day story beautifully.


What if we need to reschedule or cancel?

I understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to reschedule and I’m available, we’ll find a new date that works. For cancellations, I’ll guide you through the details in your contract and do my best to help.


Can we give you a list of must-have photos?

Yes, please! I love hearing about the special moments and family groups that matter to you, and I’ll also suggest shots based on my experience so the day flows smoothly.


Can we see full wedding galleries?

Absolutely! I’m happy to share full weddings so you can get a proper feel for how I work and the kinds of stories I tell through my photos.


What do you wear on the day?

I usually wear smart, comfortable clothes in neutral or dark colours so I blend in and you hardly notice I’m there. Plus, it’s got to be comfy enough for me to climb on chairs or sneak around to get the best shots - especially during couple portraits when I’m on a mission for that perfect angle!


What if the weather isn’t great?

Rain or shine, I’m ready! Sometimes a bit of rain makes for really beautiful photos, and I have plenty of ideas to make sure your day looks amazing, whatever the weather.

Are you insured?

Yes, absolutely! I have full professional insurance, including £5 million public liability and equipment insurance, so you can have complete peace of mind on your big day.


Do you offer engagement shoots?

I’d love to! Engagement shoots are a great way to feel relaxed in front of the camera before your wedding day, plus you’ll have some lovely photos to keep as a couple.


How do we get our photos?

Your images will be delivered through a secure online gallery that’s easy to share with family and friends. From there, you can download, order prints, or create albums if you wish. If you’ve chosen one of my select packages, you’ll also receive The Ever After Memory Box - a timeless keepsake for your love story. It includes a rustic USB with all your images, beautifully boxed so you can keep your favourite memories safe and close to heart.


Can we share our photos on social media?

Of course! Just please remember to tag MP Wedding Photography so I can see your beautiful posts too.


How does payment work?

A £200 deposit is needed to secure your date, with the balance due no less than four weeks before the wedding day. If you’d prefer a payment plan, just ask - I’m happy to be flexible.
