Hello! I’m Maddy, the proud owner of MP Wedding Photography based in Consett, County Durham. I’m a mum of two wonderful children, aged 12 & 2, plus 2 energetic (but extremely loveable) Spaniels! I'm a dog-lover, a netball player and a NUFC supporter (by default, thanks to my footy-fanatic husband!).

I married my wonderful husband in August 2021. I am so grateful to relive those spectacular memories daily by doing what I love!

"More than a photographer"
I specialise in non-invasive, relaxed, and free-flow photography, capturing fleeting moments you and your partner may miss amidst the excitement and anticipation of getting married.
I have been described as "more than a photographer" by many of my couples. This is because I ensure every detail is put in place, from necklace clasps positioned where they should be, to adjusting attire – including the groom and his groomsmen – and helping with little ones. All of this, alongside doing all of my photographer duties, including: gathering everyone for group photos, being super organised by having my wedding schedule attached to me at all times, climbing all manner of things to get the perfect shots - you name it, I'm there. I've got you!

I often see myself as the mother figure who has everything in her bag, from plasters for last-minute accidents (believe me, anything can happen!) to mints for that all-important pre-ceremony freshen-up when needed.

I’ve been a confidant, sharing advice and guidance where required, and a trusted figure with all guests.

You'll probably see me at the ceremony with tears in my eyes or smiling happily behind the camera because I adore what I do - the most important part of that is being invested in you and capturing the unique moments that make your day as special and memorable as it should be. This is what makes photographing weddings so exhilarating for me!
